Buffalo NY Native Angela Buccinni Butch grew up as a dancer  with a strong desire to always be upside down .  After She received her BFA from The Boston Conservatory for Choreography and Dance and moved  to NYC, she danced with The Chase Brock Experience and got air-time  and upside down training with the “PopAction” dance company STREB. Angela loves living where circus, dance, and physical acting meet and human connection can go beyond day-to-day limitations and allow for joined emotional journeys.  Upon moving to NYC Angelas Dance career literally took flight  and she quickly fell in love with the unmatched trust & communication required for safety to achieve something so impressive and far beyond what one could do alone: circus.

Angela  has performed nationally and internationally for over 30 years with many companies. She is a flyer for both ground acrobatics and aerial arts. She also specializes in dance, swaypole, perch pole, harness dance, partner acrobatics, bullwhip, fire,  bottle walking and clowning. Credits include: Fuerza Bruta (NYC & international), Wayra NYC, Radio City Spring Spectacular, Grounded Aerial, The Aluminum Show world tour, Pilobolous, Circus y, Bordel Total, Pyromania Show, and Strut and Fret w/ Sway Pole (Australia). She has directed/choreographed for Bloomingdales, Swarovski,  Samsung and Nike to mention a few.  Angela is the founder and director of The Muse and ABCirque  a cirque specialty creative collective  and community based events and training space and school in New York.

ABCirque is a circus company of highly trained professional performers, riggers, costume fabricators and musicians that specializes in immersing the audience into the narrative of each performance. These non-traditional circus shows and events  keep the audience on their toes while breaking the fourth wall with a diverse, dynamic cast that provides top-notch entertainment for both independently produced shows and external booking.

"... It was clear  the world between circus, dance and storytelling was my home…. Where either as an audience member experiencing a sense of wonder and awe or as someone training or unlearning their mental and physical boundaries  THIS is where people's minds were changed of what IS possible …   and this could happen only because of  their shared  experiences in a safe space ....
